Hi all, I’m a 28 year old Cleveland transplant living in Austin, TX for the last three years. I’m about to come head-to-head with some major life changes. Currently, I’m a full-time marketing major at Texas State University, set to graduate in May. I recently got engaged to my boyfriend of eight years and we’re getting married when I go on my spring break in early March. In between school stuff and wedding planning, I help run a pet sitting business. Oh, and I’ve dropped 28 pounds since July and I’m looking to drop another 15 before the wedding! Bikram has become a new fixation of mine. Umm . . and I have a dog that’s the light of my life named Piglet. So I thought I’d post on here about my daily life, about how I manage it all and also about my attempt to get fit and healthy again. Hopefully I can manage to make this entertaining, and perhaps inspirational to those who maybe can relate.
Since first writing this introduction I’ve gotten married, bought a house in the burbs, graduated college, left the pet sitting business, raised chickens, given birth to two boys, bought a minivan, celebrated nearly 10 years in Texas, turned 34, and put on more than a few pounds along the way. Now I’m looking to reconnect with ME. This blog could more aptly be called “The Misadventures of an Exhausted Mom”, or even “Taking the Easy Way Out -Parenting in the Suburbs in the Age of Amazon” (love me some amazon prime delivery!), but I think I will leave it as it was.
